A new control strategy for a brushless DC motor without position and speed sensors is presented. The control is performed by software using the DSP-TMS320C25. The prototype has been constructed using a 1.5 kW, 154 V, 2000 r/min, four-pole motor. The test results have been satisfactory in both steady and transient states A new control strategy for a brushless DC motor without position and speed sensors is presented.
